Johnston Honey is offered in two varieties, perennial garden nectar and prairie wildflower honey. Each variety is sold in different packages and both may be available as a honey cream or spread.
Perennial Garden Nectar
Perennial nectar honey is bottled under the children’s own labels and are adorned with pictures of flowers from their perennial gardens. There are three varieties: Jessica’s Garden, Julianna’s Garden, and James’ Garden honey. Although Jessica, Julianna, and James each have their own garden and honey label, they share the honey. Most of the honey is gathered within a mile of the hive, so it’s impossible to restrict bees to just one child’s garden.
The Prairie Wildflower honey is just that, honey made from the nectar of wildflowers that bloom on the Minnesota prairie landscapes all summer. The Prairie Wildflower label shows a picture of a typical Minnesota prairie in bloom. On the the bottle is a sticker that identifies the wildflower district.
